Thanks for coming over today! It was a lot of fun. I had my camera out and totally forgot to take any pictures. If anyone else took some, share them if you have a chance. Dinner in a Pumpkin

Ok ladies, some of you expressed interest in my dinner in a pumpkin recipe, so I will oblige and share it. It is very yummy and super fun to do. I am an eyeballer when I cook, so if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

1 small to medium pumpkin
1 onion-chopped
1.5-2 pounds hamburger
2 Tbsp soy sauce
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1 4 oz can mushrooms-drained
1 can cream of chicken soup
1.5 cups cooked rice
1 8oz can water chestnuts-drained

Cut off top of pumpkin and clean it out well. In large skillet, brown hamburger and onions. Drain fat. Add brown sugar, soy sauce, mushrooms, and soup. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add cooked rice and water chestnuts. Spoon mixture into cleaned out pumpkin. Place on cookie sheet and replace lid. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Enjoy!

Yard Sale Friday

Hey Mommies, Karleena Twitchell and I decided to throw a little yard sale together for tomorrow, Friday Oct. 24. I have a ton of Toddler Girl Clothes, strollers, and other random household items and a 'Super' Love Sac.

If anyone wants to bring over items to sell, you're welcome too! We plan to start at 9am until noon or 1pm.

kids' halloween party

If everyone is still interested, we can do the kids' Halloween party at my house on Wednesday, October 29th at 10:00 am. We'll just hang out, play, and snack. When: Thursday, October 30th

Where: Our Church Building

Time: 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm

Dinner will be from 6 - 7 pm

Games & Trick R Treating from 7 - 8:30 pm

There will be contests for

*Best Doors Decorated

*Best Costumes

Playgroup this week . . .

Wednesday, October 22nd: Halloween Party; 10:30-12:30; LDS Church DI & Grand Canyon. We are combined with another ward at their chapel. (RSVP was required; if you still want to come and didn't RSVP, please email me at anjiebringhurst@yahoo.com)

Friday, October 24th: McKee Ranch 10:00 am. The ranch is like a park and they have horses and animals there. It is located at 8982 Dean Martin Drive. (Take Rainbow south to Blue Diamond and turn left on Blue Diamond. Go 2.5 miles and turn right on Dean Martin Drive. The ranch is 1.2 miles on the left. Park on Raven Avenue on the south side.) Bring own carrots and crackers which I believe are to feed the horses.
