Wednesday, April 1st at 10 a.m.: Come join us for our very own Old Mormon Fort Tour. We'll have our own tour guide who will tailor the tour to our age group. $1 admission for adults; children 12 and under are free. Meet at the southwest corner of the Smiths parking lot on Rainbow if you'd like to caravan. We will leave at 9:30 a.m. sharp (and I will try to be on time this time). Please leave a comment on the blog if you are planning on coming. Directions to the Mormon Fort:
-Take I-15 north to the 95
-Take the 95 (aka the 515) towards downtown Las Vegas
-Take the Las Vegas Blvd exit and turn left onto Las Vegas Blvd.
-Look for the Old Mormon Fort at 500 E. Washington Avenue on the right hand side. It is located just north of the Cashman Field Center.

Relief Society Birthday Party & This Week's Playgroup
Pinnacle Ward Relief Society Birthday Dinner
Don't forget to join us for the Relief Society Birthday Party on Tuesday, March 24th at 6:30 p.m. It's at the Stake Center on Twain between Jones and Rainbow. Relief Society sisters, Young Women, and neighbors are invited. We will have dinner, a special musical number, and a guest speaker. A Children's class will be provided.

Playgroup for the Week of March 9th
Monday, March 9th at 10:30 a.m.: Bonnie Spring Petting Zoo. $3 admission; Children 2 & younger are free. Meet at the southwest parking lot of the Smiths parking lot on Rainbow at 10:30 a.m. to caravan over there. If possible, try to bring cash for the admission. It will make it easier on you (though they will accept debit/credit cards).
Directions (from Smiths):
1. Head south on Rainbow toward Blue Diamond.
2. Turn right at Blue Diamond Rd/NV-160 (6.7 mi)
3. Turn right at Blue Diamond Rd/Charleston Blvd/NV-159 Continue to follow NV-15
4. Turn left at Bonnie Springs
***From Blue Diamond, turn right when you see the gas station on the left hand side. If you go past the gas station, you've gone too far. I know this from experience . . .
If you'd like, bring quarters to buy food to feed the animals. Also, if you plan on buying food, bring a little baggie to put the food in as your kids will probably drop most of it on the ground without one.
Thursday, March 12th at 10 a.m.: Pottery Barn Sing-Along with Beverly Frances at the Pottery Barn for Kids in Summerlin. I'm not sure what this is like but I figure if it's not fun, there's always shopping.
Directions:
1. Take the 215 west.
2. Exit Charleston. Turn right (east).
3. You'll go approximately three miles until you see Rampart Commons on your left hand side.
(An alternative route for those more familiar with Las Vegas is to take the 215 to Flamingo, go right, then turn left on Fort Apache. Fort Apache will take you directly to Rampart Commons.)
The shopping center has a Gap, Pottery Barn, and P.F. Changs. Look for the P.F. Changs as it is right on Charleston. The Pottery Barn for Kids is in the west side of the parking lot between Pottery Barn and Gap.

Playgroup This Week

Most of the playgroup kids are under 3 so they will be free. As for the adults and kids 3 and older, go HERE for a buy one get one free coupon. I figure we can all just share them when we get there so we can get in for half off.

900 North Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, NV. Cross-streets are Las Vegas Blvd. and Washington. The Museum is adjacent to Cashman Center. Please remember that the exit mapquest tells you to take is closed for construction (I think it's D Street) so the easiest way to get there is to take the 15 North to the 95 South. Once on the 95 South, exit Las Vegas Boulevard, and take a left.
