Thanks!!!

Thanks to everyone who helped set-up, played, and helped cleaned up today! I couldn't have done it without you guys!!!! I just wanted to let everyone know that we are going to go to 1 playgroup a month. We haven't been having a huge turn out so we are going to go once a month. Next month is going to be a music class taught by Rachel Gubler. I will let you know the time and place soon!
Feel free to post if you are going to a park, or anything else throughout the month!

Halloween Party

Hey guys! So the Halloween Party is this Wednesday the 28th at the Church starting at 11:30. Thanks to everyone for helping bring things! If you forgot what you signed up feel free to call me or leave a comment and I can remind ya! We have an estimated 65 kids coming, so it should be some crazy fun! We still could use some more supplies, so if you haven't signed up or have any of this lying around your house and are willing to bring some please LEAVE a comment so I can plan accordingly!!! Thanks.

We still need:
2 packs of Halloween Plates (or regular ones)
1 pack of Halloween Cups (or regular ones)
1 pack of Balloons
2 large bottles of Glue
1 Box of Borax
3 more packs of decorations for bags ( stickers, foam pieces, etc.)

Just a heads up what we are going to do is split up the kids and have stations and rotate and then line up bags and hand out candy.
The stations are:
Slime making
Balloon Tag
Cupcake Decorating
Bag Decorating

Need Some Help

Hey guys. So we are looking for some donated time or items for our Fabulous Friday. We still have a lot that we need for quiet books, and we are trying to entice people to work on them we are going to do a raffle. So we are looking for prizes. We were going to do a prize an hour or so. We already have 3, but are in need of 2 more. If have a hook up with a business, or a talent you wouldn't mind sharing please let me know. We already have someone making a watch, donating babysitting time, and we have someone who has a hook-up with a salon. It could be anything that you do. It could be a serivce you do, or a basket of things that you make, really anything :) Thanks for you help in advance!

Ethel M and the Cactus Garden

This week is a self-guided tour at Ethel M and the Cactus Garden at 10 am. The address is 2 Cactus Garden Dr. Henderson NV. Here is a map!

I am not going to be able to make it this week, but this is a good one. You get a free piece of chocolate, and the kids love walking around the cactus garden, it's supposed to be great weather too! If people want to caravan down, just post a comment. In the past we have met in the parking lot of Smith's and followed each other to places.

Oh and if people don't start coming to playgroup I am going to re-format it again to do 1 big activity a month!!! If the time or something isn't working out please let me know. I will be posting again later this week with more details for the Halloween party :)

This Week

This week's playgroup is going to be watching the fish feeding show at the Silverton Casino. It is at 1:30, and the address is 3333 Blue Diamond Road. If you kids like fish it is pretty cool. Just for you own info this is the other times:

...interactive feeding shows are scheduled daily at 1:30pm, 4:30pm and 7:30pm. Also, don't miss the live mermaid swim! Mermaid swims are scheduled Thursday from 2:15pm - 8:45pm, Friday and Saturday from 2:15pm - 9:45pm and Sunday from 11:30am - 6:45pm.

Reagan really likes it. It is pretty short, but it is entertaining, and it's free :) If you are going to attend if you could leave a comment, b/c I don't want to go out there if no one is going to go!

Also we are planning a music class the first Wed. in Nov. and would like to know how many people think they would attend. We are trying to figure out where we should have it, so we need to know how many people will attend. Rachel Gubler is going to teach it so it will be great!!!!

Pumpkin Patch Again

OK so I just heard back from McKee Family Farm. So durning the month of October they are not open for free, b/c they have the pumpkin patch going on. So what they offer is 1 pumpkin, hay ride, pony ride, feeding the animals, and playing on thier playgroud for $10.00 per kid. They also have the family night ones for a family (7 or less) for $20.00. It includes everything and they have a fishing pond. I thought that people would probably want to do this as a family, seeing how it would be cheaper if you have more than 2 kids. So I will plan something else for this month, I just wanted to pass the info along to everyone. It was a pretty fun place last year, but we did go in May I think. I will try and plan it in the spring again so we can go for free!

Playgroup Info

We will meet at Nevada Trails Park at 10:30! I am hoping to be there, maybe a little late, Alice naps usually at that time :)
We are going to have a little Halloween party on Oct. 28th. I will have details of it next week at church! I am hoping we will get to go to McKee's Family Ranch this month too. I am still waiting to hear back from them!

Pumpkin Patch or Orchard Anyone

Does anyone know of a good Pumpkin Patch or Orchard? I wanted to plan one for playgroup, but have heard that the orchard up north wasn't very good. If no one knows of one, would people want to go to the ones in parking lots?? PLEASE give me some feedback, I hate making decisions :)
