Wednesday Playgroup

I thought for tomorrow's playgroup it would be fun to go to story time at Town Square at 11 a.m.. Bring a picnic and have a picnic on the grass afterward!

Friday Playgroup

This Friday (10/3) some of us thought it would be fun to check out the new park at Buffalo & Flamingo. There is a splash part there so bring kids swimsuits. I figure we can go around 10 and maybe bring a lunch if you want. Let me know if a different time would be better.

Pool Today

I am planning on going to the pool at the Peaks (south pool) at about 10:30 today. Pool weather will be over soon so come and enjoy while we still can!

mountains edge park

hello hello..
dawn and i are going to the mountains edge park on thurs around 11:45-12ish. we are going to take lunches and just play till whenever. the more the merrier!!!

entertainment books 2009

I know this is not a sales front, but if anyone is interested, the Sierra Vista High School orchestra is selling 2009 entertainment books for only$20. There are some really GREAT coupons for movies, food, shopping, natural history museum, etc. It pays for itself after only 1 or 2 times. Its good from now until Nov, 09. If anyone is interested, just let me know.

Town Square Story Time anyone???

Hey everyone!!! I am going to Town Square at 11am for story time. It is alot of fun and the kids really seem to like the crazy guy that makes balloons and gives out candy. I am also going to bring Kylie's swim suit for the little water shooters. IF you would like to come it would be so fun.

frisbee

I have been itchin' to play some frisbee. I thought it could be fun to go to the Mountain's Edge park (discovery peak park?) on Wednesday and let the kids run wild on the grass while we try to play some ultimate frisbee. Would that even be possible?
Anyone interested?

Seamstress Anyone

Hey guys. I am looking for a seamstress to do some items for a business. If anyone knows anyone who is interested or knows a good seamstress please let me know!

Grahm cracker Recipe

I would suggest 1/2 ing the recipe for the first go around.

4 cups of Graham flour or whole wheat flour. (I used graham and found it at walmart).
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
6 Tbsp brown sugar

mix in:
1 cup sofened butter
4 Tbsp honey
4 Tbsp milk

mix until it holds together, but isn't sticky. Roll out on cookie sheet. Cut in squares, prick with fork. Bake at 375 until light brown (about 10 minutes).
Cinnamon and sugar can be sprinkled on the dough before baking. You may never buy another box of partially hydrogenated, high fructose corn syrup graham crackers again!

Town Square Story Time

Dawn and I are going to Town Square Story Time today at 11am. We are also going to bring the kids suits for the little splash park.

Wednesday...

Hey girls. So let's go with the story time at the Spring Valley Library today. I'm not going to be there, because I wouldn't be home in time to pick up Em, but I'm sure it should be fun. We're going to miss out.

Also, let's do Friday as a swimming day. I will be here at the Peaks pool around 9:30. I hope to see you all there!

P.S. Maybe we should plan the NHM for next Wednesday? It would be another that I personally can't be there, but if there's enough people who would go, I can announce it on Sunday. Post if you'd want to go to the Museum on Wednesday, okay?

P.P.S. Dawn, I'd love to have that graham cracker recipe too, so please post it when you get a chance. :)

I found two story time playgroups on Wednesday...one at the Spring Valley Library, and one at Town Square, in the play area. SPL is at 10:30, and the TS is at 11:00. Does this sound fun to anyone, or should we stick with swimming? PLEASE post what you would rather do (even if it something totally different) and I'll udpate tomorrow night with the plan.

Yesterday I made homemade grahm crackers and my family and I really liked them. I was planning on making more today (Friday, Sept. 5). I don't know if there are other things planned for a playgroup, but we would love to have some company. It is very kid friendly and very nutritous!
